John de Jonge
Interim CEO and President Hydrogreen
Mr. de Jonge has been in the industry for over two decades, having served as a senior leader in multiple agricultural businesses, including the owner of Artex Barns Inc. through to its successful sale in 2021. He is widely respected among members of the North American farming and dairy communities, having been an instrumental part in the invention and development of the Comfort Zone FreeStall System and Big-Box dairy design.
As a former board member of CubicFarms, Mr. de Jonge was integral to the original acquisition of HydroGreen for the Company in 2019 and has agreed to return to lead the Company during its transition to focus on sales of Hydrogreen Feed Systems.
Michael Kyne, CFA
Chief Financial Officer AND Chief INVESTMENT OFFICER
Michael Brendan Kyne, CFA, is a visionary leader in investment management with over 25 years of expertise in financial strategy, corporate leadership, and business growth. As the founder and former Chief Investment Officer of Leeward Hedge Funds and a Vice President & Portfolio Manager at Driehaus Capital Management of Chicago, Michael raised over $1 billion in assets, highlighting his ability to deliver high-impact financial stewardship and build exceptional portfolios.
In his current role as Chief Financial and Investment Officer at CubicFarms, Michael blends strategic insight with hands-on leadership, guiding both the executive team and the entire organization through complex market dynamics. He spearheads corporate strategy with a core focus on launching and scaling the Feed as a Service (FaaS) model across the U.S. market, establishing a solid foundation for growth and operational excellence. His leadership of cross-functional teams has fostered a results-oriented, agile culture, driving innovation and empowering team members to exceed expectations.
Michael also leads all capital market activities, including securing investor capital, managing public market engagements, and enhancing investor relations through transparent communication and meticulous reporting. His commitment to transparency and trust builds strong investor confidence, to driving the forward focus at CubicFarms towards accountability and long-term value creation. Through his extensive financial acumen and collaborative team leadership, Michael has been pivotal in ensuring CubicFarms’ resilience and growth, positioning the company to thrive competitively, and setting the benchmark for operational and financial excellence. His strategic vision and dedication to empowering teams is essential to the company’s ongoing success and industry impact.

Daniel Burns
Chair, Board of Directors
Daniel Burns is the first certified director in British Columbia (ICD.D) and one of the first in Canada. He is a member of the Law Society of BC and the Certified Professional Accountants of Ontario. He holds MBAs from University of Toronto and St Gallen, Switzerland. He is well versed in public markets, having created a capital pool company on the TSX Venture Exchange.
Janet Wood
Janet Wood is a globally recognized leader in the technology industry who has held roles with several major technology companies including IBM, Crystal Decisions, Business Objects and SAP. Janet has been recognized with a YWCA Women of Distinction Award the Canadian Women’s Executive Network Top 100 Women Award. She is a Board member of ICBC, Pureweb Technologies, and Junior Achievement of BC and sits on the University of Alberta Business School Advisory Committee.
G. David Cole
G. David Cole, MBA, is recognized internationally as an accomplished senior financial executive with nearly 40 years of corporate experience in building teams and businesses in a broad range of global markets and economies. As Vice Chairman of the Enterprise Strategic Client Group at Royal Bank of Canada, David has extensive expertise in strategic business growth, capital markets, financial products and client-centric sales and marketing. Known for his strong client focus, high energy level, creativity, demonstrated adaptability, and leadership skills, David is a highly respected senior executive, a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, and a member of multiple boards including the University of Western Ontario’s International Advisory Council and Outward Bound Canada, a registered charity committed to helping Canadian youth through experiential adventures in the outdoors.

Michael McCarthy is the Principal at McCarthy Pacific Group, consulting and advising on strategic business development, enhancing business-to-business marketing, and enabling a culture of high performance. He has extensive leadership experience in the technology sector with companies such as Telus, IBM and Silicon Graphics, where he aggressively grew the business while developing future leaders.
